This is the earliest I've ever received a Christmas card. Usually mid-end Nov they early ones start to arrive but 27th October is just ridiculous.

good point Vulcan. You might be right.
They're usually 5 years behind everyone else in Devon. So two months is not so bad in my books ;-)
Oh well Jan .. ding doing merrily on high .... & all that! I did buy a Christmas mug & Christmas tree cookie cutter today ;0)
A friend of mine always sends her cards to arrive on 1st December, I thought that was bad enough. Mind you she starts planning for Easter before Christmas, clearly hasn't got anything else to do.

I'd like to get Halloween and Guy Fawkes night out of the way first before I even start to think about Christmas.
There is early and there is early, this is a bit too early for me. Still it was nice of them to send you one.
Off out for a brisk autumn walk with my brother, bye Jan/ all x

Mine are already printed, written, addressed, and lurking in a cupboard, ready to be launched. All that they need to become airborne are stamps. If any recipient turns their toes up between now and launch date, I shall be very miffed.
We got one last week from an old relative in Australia -bless- she must think they still come on a ship lol! I can post a parcel to Australia on Monday and they get it by Friday.
Doing well Jan thanks x

BB, I have all my cards and my list of names and I'll write them in November and get them all ready to send out on Dec 1st. That's early enough.
Question Author
Retro, oh yes, I remember when surface post took 6 weeks at least.
I don't send Christmas cards -if you are not Christian its a bit two faced isn't it?
Are you implying that Christmas is something to do with Christians, Retro? I thought that ceased long ago.
I've set off a new thread to discus this -I think the CHRIST in Christmas may have something to do with it ;-)
