Good Morning Early Birds!

Friday. The weekend beckons once more. A busy one for me. I'm in the Visitor Centre at Saul Junction tomorrow and Sunday I'm at Kemble Airfield for an event by the Hospice, The Flying Colours Run, I'm marshalling again. Should be good fun. I hope the weather is good both days.

Good morning WB. Today I drop my car off at 8.30 for M.O.T. Test and service.
Have to get my good lady to collect me, as they will have it all day. I could get a bus, but have not used them for years.

Morning ummmm xxx I've got a wee bit that needs a look at the iron, but it can wait until there's enough to make it worth getting the ironing board etc. out.

Morning David. The last time I was on a bus was at a vintage vehicle show, so that doesn't count, before that it was 1974!

I haven't been to bed yet. Suffering from a bit of insomnia the last few days.

Ozzy...Ironing is when you heat up some iron and iron the arms of you clothes to put in a crease and no-one will notice that you didn't bother doing the rest :-)

Big day here tomorrow, Grand final day.

Last year sports mad son played for our home town and they won the grand final for the first time in 43 years.
This year he is playing for another town nearby who have never won a grand final and they are top of the ladder, hosting the game, and I have my fingers crossed for a win!!!!!

Not that I'm excited or anything like that.

ummmm, in army days a friend of mine only ironed the collar and the bit of the front that showed in the vee of his jacket, didn't bother about the rest.

When we were at the wedding recently my daughter said dads suit needed ironing. My reply was simply that every single mans jacket will have creases in it by the time they left the church (it was dry cleaned....obviously I'm crap at packing :-))

ummmm packing is a skill not easily learned. I'm good at it, being ex-army I've had plenty of practice!

I'm quite good but getting a dry cleaned suit into hand luggage, it was never going to come out immaculate....

Just get to the hotel and hang it in the bathroom with the shower on....

Yes ummmm, hang it up as soon as possible. If I'm travelling by car I hang suits on the hooks in most cars for these things, otherwise I lay them on top of the case[s] in the boot.

By train.bus etc. it's a different story. Lay it in the bottom of the case, less likely to crease then as it will remain flat.

I keep it in the dry cleaners bag or a suit bag. By the time we got to the sit down meal no one gave a *** what anyone else looked like. You know Irish weddings... :-)
