But it's almost bar crawling weather.

Friday night beckons. Bring it on.

Bit frustrating having pals who have to get back from ponky London. We are wasting good drinking time.

It's a 'soft' evening here - that is irish code for 'the most wetting rain you could possibly imagine' ...

... but it's warm in this bar and I have just ordered a pint of Guinness and a plate of Bacon and Cabbage ... so I'm happy :)

JJ; We already started here yesterday! It was 'Vatertag' - fathers day (or ascension day). Beer tent erected in the village square on the bank of the river Neckar. Tent festooned with lilac flowers and to accompany my beer, I had a grilled fresh trout straight from the river with a hunk of stone-oven baked bread; bliss!

I went fishing once out of Newport, not that far away, dave.....

dinner prepped, no chilli on the appendage tonight, glass of vino in an hour or so.....chilly here, a cold SW wind, but it's sunny and dry, lawn cutting over the w/end.

I think it's good in Kerry too, Sibs - that's where I first encountered it a few years ago.

We had a late afternoon stroll along the river, stopped off for an ice lolly at the lock cafe, and then stood chatting to some very nice people for about half an hour before returning home for a large G&T.
