Are you 1ozzy! What's in that workshop? Is it full of all sorts?
I meant to wake for 4.00am, instead my hay fever woke me earlier. We have our granddaughter at 6.00am this morning.
Sure is Elina. My hobby is refurbishing old furniture made of wood, metal, anything. Also I service and repair mechanical stuff. Jack of all, master of none, sums me up.
There are 2 old laptops and wifi here so I'm usually mucking about on a couple of forums too. Gives me a reason to chat with whilst I potter.
I suffer hay fever as well, not much fun. This time of the year is good for me, springtime, well a different story.
Clever you tinkering about there. A neighbour asked me if I knew any joiners, I found one on a local forum for her. Made me think of two chunky side tables I have that I would like halved. Would save buying new as I really like the wood & they match my other stuff.
I'd do it for you Elina, but the freight costs would kill the project.
My neighbour found an old washstand/dressing table in a farmers shed. It had been used as a tool chest for a long time. Wood dried out, split, busted legs the list goes on. The lady bought it for peanuts. I finished refurbishing it a couple of months ago.
It looks the part now. Neighbour paid for materials and fifty dollars to cover consumables, tool sharpening and electricity, no labour charge. End result, she has a piece of furniture that is circa 100 years old and looks like the day it was made (nearly, some expert would pick the differences).
It gave me something to fill my spare time and a great sense of achievement when it was finally finished.
