I appear to have mislaid himself, girl and a fish! They have broken down in the garden centre car park, no mobile (as usual). Break down truck have just phoned to say garden centre car park is all locked up. Have no idea where himself, girl and fish are or how they are planning on getting home (doubt himself has any money on him for a taxi or bus (if there was a bus to catch at this time of night). Hope they get home soon, it is chucking it down (and I am due to go gossiping at 8.30).

They got locked in the garden centre car park (despite having all the car lights on). Had to go over a security fence and then walked home (himself didn't think to go and phone a taxi from a nearby pub). Girl has walked 2 1/2 miles in the chucking rain, on dark country roads and she is still chipper. In her pj's and going to eat her tea now. On the plus side, he did put her in a reflective (adult-sized) jacket.
