mouth ulcers often happen if your oral hygiene isn't all that or if you scrub too hard.

Gentle brushing of the gums as well as your teeth and daily flossing will help.

If you are unlucky enough to get them then Corsodyl mouth wash or paste is really good. You can get a mint flavoured one which taste ok. If you use the mouthwash then brush with it too.

honey will control the pain of the ulcers and encourage healing ..try taking a spoonfull every hour and push it round your mouth and see if that helps..or you could put some in water and gargle and then swallow it...
Try increaing your vitamin b intake
An upset stomach, can also cause mouth ulcers.  Rinse around with good old fashion salt water.
You get ulcers when you are run down. Try and work out if you are stressed, and find ways of removing the problem.
I get them when I'm run down.  Oraldene mouthwash helps with pain as does anbesol.
Salt water will only agravate the problem, as it's salt that causes them in the first place.
loobie,Try "Adorctyl In Orabse" its not a gel like Bonjela so does'nt slide about. Its a paste and just a tiny amount really kills the pain of an ulcer.

My hubby suffered from really bad ulcers and his dentist suggested he went to the doctors about it. After investigation it turns out he has coeliacs disease (intolerance to gluten). Apparently mouth ulcers are a symptom of coeliacs.
