Hi there I had a follow up appointment with Specsavers. A week on from the last one where I was told to put drops in my eyes 5 times a day for residual shingles in my right eye but new shingles in mu left. She spoke to on call opthalmology at the hospital. Today my right eye has completely healed up. However my left eye has 2 new ulcers which are not related to shingles as they are not the shape or size she would expect from shingles. She spoke to opthalmology again they recommended lubricant every 2 hours when awake, follow up next week if still there opthalmology will see me in clinic next day. My vision has been very poor in left eye and was today. Any idea what could cause new ulcers? They didn't think it was related to the diabetes??

Could be a cyst. Ophthalmology are far more likely to diagnose it accurately than Answerbank. Good luck with the appointment.
Have you scratched your eye with something Kleenex or handkerchief or have you been gardening or out side on a windy day and something has blown into your eye
From your description, I would guess a viral infection.......nothing to do with your diabetes.
