After years of "number 2 clippers please", I let the mane grow over the winter ...

... but it was finally, officially, "too damn hot" today so I had to venture into a new barber shop.

I'm not sure I can go back again after reducing the poor girl to hysterical giggles :

Young female barber person - "What would you like done, sir"

Dave - "Could you turn my haircut from 'Boris Johnson gone mental' into 'Jose Mourinho' ...."

Well if you don't ask :+)

A decent effort I think ... I chose the barbers purely because anyone calling themselves "Headcase" has to be encouraged :)

For the first time ever in a barbers I didn't have to wait ... slightly disappointing :)
A decent effort!!!!!! Lord...the day I leave the hairdresser saying...a decent effort! ;-) x
After Sunday's fiasco, I am not sure Mr BM will ever ask me to cut his again. Let's just say it's not very straight. (sniggers)

Are you suggesting he now looks a bit gay ???
It was a funny request sunny-dave. Made me chuckle. I'm sure you certainly brightened up the hairdressers day.

I remember a few years ago when waiting in the barbers, an almost bald man ask the barber to change his hairstyle from Bruce Willis to Right Said Fred. It took the barber a few moments to get the joke.

I haven't been in a Barbers for 20+yrs.

£8 plus a £1 tip (which I felt she richly deserved) in sunny Coventry ...
A barbers is probably one of the few places where you can reasonably request No2.

Desktop, you shouldn't take the clippers to your curls, a bit harsh for a lady.
8 quid! Jeezus! It was £2 the last time I went....

I'm constantly amazed too at how many women come from a hairdressers having paid up to £80 for their bouffont(?sp), only to complain about how it's "not how I wanted it".

looks like a decent professional outfit, a cut above the usual ones
Dave, hope your whiskers aren't longer than your hair now ;-)
I really hate to ask Dave, but does this mean you'll need a smaller crash helmet now? x
A hairdressers near me had a note in the window saying ' haircuts while you wait'
I'm still looking for a place where I can get my hair cut whilst I go shopping. lol.

WR.
LOL, good thinking ah wench, that helmet could be a bit lose now.
WR, it wasn't Curl Up and Dye was it?
