When I am listening to commentaries from Stamford Bridge, I often hear references to the 'Shed End'.

I always imagine this is because there is a little wooden shack at that end. Inside is an old guy in a brown cotton coat, grumbling about the noise.

Please tell me it's true.

Only in my garden, Hoppy...he's called Tony. x
It always makes me smile when cricket is broadcast from Lords, and they talk about the Gasworks End.

Over!
West Ham have a stand affectionately known by the locals as the chicken Run, and it was also used by Middlesbrough fans at Ayresome Park, for the away end.
Didn't Stamford Bridge also have a Bell End? Ken Bates I believe he was called.
What kind of people meet at the Cottage ? Craven is an odd word too; what is there to be craven about?

At Newmarket, they talk of the bushes, which always seems odd; "at he bushes, Kieron Fallon...", as though he's given up and is in his local, called the Bushes. Eagle-eyed racegoers will see that actually are some bushes at that point on the course, which is otherwise devoid of any greenery.

At Lord's, one end is the Nursery End, conjuring up an image of the players leaving their toddlers with their nannies during play. The gasworks end is at the Oval.
There is also the Colin Bell stand at the Etihad, Manchester (Not behind one of the goals, so it isn't the Bell End, as I believe the City fans wanted to call it)
So long ago. Villa Park. Holte End, Witton End. Which served by no. 11 bus route? Went to both. Tony Help!
Daisy, you stood in the Witton end lol, don't worry I'll save you.
Thanks Tony. 1 shilling to get in at the Boys' Entrance. Quite a few girls. Did they not know the difference? We made sure that no male was going to stand behind Nigel Sims. That was before I was old enough to snaffle my Dad's Season Ticket. Luckily he often had to work on a Saturday afternoon.
