You can get herbal tablets called 'Kalms' from any chemist. Just a natural calming tablet (can't remember what's in them but it's all herbal) and they help with sleep problems too, but don't make you drowsy during the day. You could try them. Good luck.
I agree.... Kalms r the best thing... have helped me no end through very difficult times in my life!!! Highly recommended!!!

Lots & it might just be a matter of finding what works for you.  Ensure you're getting all your vits, particularly B complex (don’t take at night as it may keep you awake), Green Tea has an amino acid called L-Theanine, which is meant to help with stress. You can also take L-Theanine as a supplement.  There is of course St John’s Wort, and a similar supplement called Rhodiola.  Both are meant to have a greater effectiveness if taken with the fish/Omega oils.  There is also current debate as to whether increasing your intake of these Omega oils alone can help alleviate anxiety you can take this as an EPA supplement.  Also try Rescue Remedy which is from Bach Flower Remedies and is meant to just take the edge off anxious moments.  All these should be available at your health store.

Have a look here  www.whatreallyworks.co.uk

Have you tried rescue remedy, I keep the bach spray in my bag (just in case) it really does work.  i know this sounds pathetic, but i used it when my boyfriend and i split up and i would be out and about and suddenly get a rising panic about the situation.  Does help that it tastes a little bit like brandy, but in a good way :o)

Relora deals with anxiety, available from puritan.com.

5-htp deals with depression which can be a major cause of anxiety
