Well I can't afford to have time off work so I'll be having one.

I had one last year, and didn't notice any ill effects.
We are both having ours on Saturday and trust they will keep us safe for another year.
Since I had the flu, I've had one every year. I do not want to repeat that experience!
Micmak has a jab every year. He had it last Thursday the 27th, He said a bit achey for a day but well worth it.

Thanks everyone. I couldnt decide whether to have it done or not.
Both Trish and I have had the jab for 8-9 years and never had either flu or after effects
I don't usually have mine but am doing this year, tomorrow in fact.
My daughter and I have had an appt through for some reason. We're not going to have the jab though.

Do they notify you? Ive never been eligible. before.
We had a letter from our surgery saying date and time to be there. I need to cancel it to be honest.
I think they are worth having. I'll go for mine when I get the letter.
hubby an I had them for a few years now never had a problem. Will be getting them again on 22nd October.
When I took Mic for his jab there was a notice up that said "People who care can also have the jab" When I asked about it I was told I was not entitled because I was not in receipt of carers allowance. The reason I don't get it is because I haven't applied for Carers allowance.
You should, Jeza.
Jeza they are wrong, impress on them the need, they will cave in - I had to do it.
I pay £10 in Tesco Pharmacy for mine ...
Only £6 in Asda, got it on Tuesday.

Thanks Mam. too late for me but maybe others will benefit from reading this.
Had mine. Slightly sore arm for 24 hours but well worth it. If I do not contract flu I cannot pass it on. Win win situation.
O/D ,OH + me have ours at W/W,docs run a coffee morning/raffle in aid of children in need at same time
Because of my diabetes I've had one every year since I was 3, only once have I had a semi nasty bout of flu, its worth it though hopefully get mine in 2 weeks
