Well no, not really ,but then again I didn't have any ambitions!
Same as B00 :-)
I surprised myself by becoming ambitious (or it could have been I wanted more pay) and got promoted but when I had my children I just wanted to leave and hated every minute of it.
No. I made awful decisions.

Hi Boo, I always wanted to drive HGVs ( what a sado) I achived that, I now wish Id never seen the bloody things & done something constructive with my life.
I got it into my head at some point in the 4th year that I wanted to go into dry stone walling??? No idea why or where the idea came from, it just appealed to me. I got sent to a nursery (plant type) for my YTS (remember that?) and that put me off, the bar stools made me plant seedlings in the green houses for 3 weeks solid :-(
I wanted to go to University, so I did, it was a mistake.

Fortunately since then I have randomly fallen into three separate careers, all of which I have loved - none of which had anything to do with my university course.
I am very fortunate and achieved my ambitions quite young - everything else has been a bonus.

I love writing Lyrics, I should have stuck to music.
Gizza song TWR!
somebody's got to drive HGVs. Somebody's got to do dry stone walls, come to that. It's not as if you became a rent boy, it's a respectable job. But if you're unhappy with it, have you considered changing? I did that once (admittedly I was young, when it's easier.)

"Can you hear me"

This is the title of a song that I wrote for my brother that died in OZ 4 years ago Boo, very sentimental.
I left school with 3 U's and 2 4's

Only then did I realise the teachers meant it when they wrote "Must do better" on the bottom of every page

I've managed to have a decent standard of living, all legit of course

Well away from it now Jno.
I was lucky, in the right place at the right time
I achieved my ambitions to get my Honours degree, go to cookery school and become a chef which I loved. I made a bad decision by giving it up and I am now trying to achieve other ambitions.
Not really. My ambitions on leaving college had nothing to do with career etc. I just wanted to travel and see the world. I did for a bit and then I got married which was not on my list of things to do at all. Eventually, I did have a child at age 36 which again wasn't on my list of ambitions. Never mind I have had a good life, so good, interesting jobs and some grotty ones too.

Mind you when I left school/college our career choices were few and far between and career advice was zilch. I would like now to have gone into architecture or law.
'some good'
I would have done very different A levels and perhaps gone in for Architecture.
mostly I became a chef just not world wide known!!
