Visceral Buzzing?

Sleep paralysis is something I have been afflicted with on and off throughout my life but recent attacks have included a frightening "vibrating" sensation and I felt something was trying to pin me down and hurt me. The feeling only subsided when I stopped fighting and allowed my body to relax and let the feeling pass over.

A quick Google brought up "Visceral buzzing" which can be associated with sleep paralysis.

Does anyone have experience of this?

mine is always a loud bank like a door slamming, occasionally someone shouts my name in my sleep, thats quite weird
I remember reading somewhere that sleep paralysis is caused by the body to prevent sleepwalking.
Yes, I have, and exactly as you described it too. That buzzing sound and unable to move.Interesting to hear other views
ive had it lots in the past. People in room, monkeys hanging from ceiling, giant ladybirds, octupus coming through wall lol. I got to a stage where if i realised it was that stupid it could only be a dream id be able to wake myself up. I havnt had it since i got with my bloke. Im less stressed now.
It's scary I haven't had an attack for a few years now, but the feeling of being pinned to the bed and unable to move or shout is such an eerie feeling. I don't think I had a vibrating sensation only that I couldn't move someone was sat on top of me, I eventually 'gave in' and relaxed completely, then it went away.
