I will be making an appointment to see doc when surgery opens at 8.30

Regurgitated my dinner, (excuse the grossness) during 3rd reurg. I notice some blood in it, not bright red.
Then had raging heartburn for about an hour.
Don't fancy an endoscope but do you think one might be arranged by the doc?

Will do Helen, thanks x
Alba, I'd be concerned about that, and I've had an endoscope and I was asleep and did'nt feel a thing. let us know how you get on. (now thats a lot of 'ands'')
I'd be more inclined to get to A&E asap it could be pretty serious.

Had a colonoscopy under sedation but that was uncomfy to say the least.
I'm sure my MIL was sedated for her endoscope but she had to swallow so wasn't out for the count.
I've a strong gag relfex (according to my dentist).
I had mine done because I had crippling pain in my stomach and coughed up black spaghetti type stuff..turned out I had an ulcer..got two types of pills and it's all clear now. (thankfully). Maybe thats what you have Alba.

Cheers slapshot :(

Nora, I won't be making spag bol anytime soon lol.

To me that sounds like a strong possiblity, tied in with the raging heartburn.
Ive been watching enough Casualty to know you should be in A&E with symptoms like that. You seem to be starting a lot of posts. On Casualty they would diagnose Munchousens syndrome.
Not related to yesterday's problem then ?
Probably fairly urgent referral to gastro enterologist

Upper endoscopy under sedation so you can just about cooperate...won't take long and unlikely you will remember much about it.

Probably start appropriate drugs before hand just in case...
Alba, get to see your GP asap . Poor you (( hug ))
No big deal and don't panic..... commonest cause is a traumatic small tear......Mallory Weiss Syndrome (Google it)

From what you describe........monitor the situation.
Alba, please see your Doc. I too am wondering if it related to yesterday's problem. It may be no big deal as Sqad says, and don't panic, but please see your doctor and let him decide whether you need an endoscope or not.
Poor old you x
^^^ i agree, see gp. good luck.
Hi alba,

Sqad could well be right, but just to be on the safe side, I would go and see your GP, as others have also mentioned, and let him decide what course of action is best for you.
Sometimes if you have traces of blood in your nose afer having a nosebleed, there are small traces of blood in your spitum....could be as simple as that........go and check to put your mind at ease.

Good luck, sweetheart :0) x
A doctor's idea of vomiting blood.........

\\\I notice some blood in it, not bright red. \\\

Not that.

A bowel full of blood, blood all over shirt or blouse, on the wall, .....that is vomiting blood.
that is a haemorrhage !
anne...sorry...I must have got it wrong....SORRY!

anneasquith.....this has bugged me all over the lunchtime and perhaps that you could help me out here.

What is the difference between bleeding and haemorrhage?

Thanks anne.
