NOW you tell me!

Have you got anyone who could massage the area?

BTW, being a nosy so and so....what were you doing to get yourself in such a state?
Question Author
you nosy? lol No one here to massage - had some pills and dug out my deep heat spray
I know it costs - but go to a chiropracter, like I do every 6 weeeks.
Question Author
soothed with pills and spray - thanks for ideas / advice
Tony, did you mean Ralgex, when you said Radox?
Question Author
notafish - just wanted some relief - you got break set up?
No, not yet. Superbreaks looks good, but haven't had much chance to do research today. Re your pack pain. . you could try a hot water bottle or hot oat pack, (but some people prefer ice packs).
I meant "back pain", not "pack pain"
Tiger Balm

mama - you should not have kept me under there!!!!!! back pain was real
Oh no, is it all my fault and you were so helpful, shall I come round to massage your muscles?
hot bath (whether you use radox or not isn't relevant really - the heat of the water will ease the muscle pain, not the actual soap). or get a neck support pillow that can be heated in the microwave and wrap that around your neck (or a hot water bottle). Also try tiger balm (similar to deep heat etc). ibuprofen is also available in gel form and can be applied straight to the affected area for a quicker relief from the pain. is it whiplash type pain? if persists, see doctor for painkillers or possible referral for physio (depending how severe it is and how long you've had it).
Question Author
f No not your fault - self diag says trapped nerve
Question Author
Nina74 thanks for advice
Mama - massage - you coming round?
Be there soon hun.
ibuprofen over aspirin

take a hot water bottle and fill it with seriously hot water. Put a hand towel (not a tea towel) across the offending area and place the hot water bottle on for twent y minutes and let the heat diffuse through the towel - a physios technique used on me 3 times a day when I buqqered mine up
So it`s not back pain? Rub some `Algesal cream` into the painful parts, I use it regularly.
DT's advice good but you can also use a wheat bag heated in a microwave. Local wholefood shop sells the wheat seeds and makke a cloth bag of cotton, or get the lady in your life to do it. The bag moulds itself to your shape.
Wheat bags stink something awful when heated.
ice - right on the skin if you can bear it (I use one of those picnic cooling blocks). About 15 mins every hour. Really helps me.
