not on our side of the family ACtheTROLL but will ask about the other side of the family ,thanks
I sometimes did that when I was a boy (I'm now 69), and I cured myself by the simple expedient of going to the toilet just before I got into bed. I didn't have any emotional problems that might have been the reason, I just emptied my bladder before bedtime. If your grandson doesn't have an emotional problem you might try pointing him in the direction of the bathroom at bedtime!
