Oh Rockrose I'm so sorry, that's awful and it's not fair :( x

So sorry to read this RR, life can be cruel at times, if you can, spend as much time with him as possible, and be positive, been there, done that, so I do realise it's not going to be easy.
I'm sorry to hear this news.

I hope you find someone to rant to or something. Hit something or someone - that might help.

♥♥♥
How devastating. I'm sorry to hear this Rockrose, I agree life can be brutal at times.
Rant away, throw something at the wall if it helps, it's so sad and frustrating that you can do nothing about it. Spend as much time as you can with him and help as much as you can. I'll be thinking of you and your lovely Dad x
I'm so sorry :-(

It's heartbreaking, truly heartbreaking xxx

He cannot come home until the council have turned the bathroom into a wet room and the have installed a bed downstairs for him. Up to 2 weeks ago he was fine then he started complaining that his legs don’t work properly.
He seems so calm about it
Life is cruel yes, you feel as if your very heart is being torn out - try to make some more memories together in the time left ♥
((Rockrose)), my thoughts & best wishes to you all x

Thanks all am taking some time out speak later xx
Whether it's 9 months or 90 years, Rocky, make the very best of it that you can, because, after all: he's still here XXX
Can you get the time off work?

It must be so hard being in a different country.

When my dad was ill he was only a 5 minute drive away.
Unfair, Rock Rose? I leave the religious guys to comment on that.

In the real world this tish happens. And it happens all the time

And it's not always good to observe.

I hope your father dies peacefully.

My best wishes to you and your step mother.
Oh God, RR, I'm so sorry. You speak so fondly of your dad.

Life really isn't fair
My heart goes out to you x
RR, I'm going through the same with my mum, terminal cancer,
Sorry to hear this, best wishes to you and yours.
so sorry to hear this, Rockrose. My cousin's recently had the same diagnosis - she'd only recently settled her husband into a care home with dementia and was expecting to be by his side for years yet. Now the kids will have to do it all for both of them.

Best wishes and make sure you look after yourself too.
