'fraid not good..the biopsy has confirmed a lymphona..but we still will not know any more 'till he is transferred to another hospital to the haemotology dept..hope my spelling is ok,a new vocabulary for me !..could not answer any questions regarding severity or prognosis ..so have to wait 'till Friday to speak to the "experts". Mum not taken it well but dad still calm..no point in worrying when we still do not know what we are really facing...

Sorry to hear that murray - in some ways the not knowing is the worst part - hope that you can at least get some clarity from the 'experts' later in the week.

Ta Dave..in some ways I would have preferred them not to tell us 'till we were with someone who could answer our questions..rather than deliver the blow and walk away...
Sorry to hear that murray, hopefully all your questions will get answered your worries subside. Waiting is a bitch!
Really sorry to hear that news murray. Sometimes, only knowing half the story is worse than not knowing anything at all.
Sorry to hear that about your dad. Thinking of you all xx
sorry to hear this murry x
murray, at least things are moving now. Thinking of you all x
A tough call murray....BUT depending upon the type of lymhoma, stage at diagnosis then one is looking at survival rates of 90% at 5 years. In simple terms, 9 out of 10 will still be alive after 5 years.....that's not bad is it?

When you get further details, LazyGun is our expert in that field and he will fill in the gaps for you.

Thank you all for your good wishes..it means a lot to me as I am having to be the strong one for mum..my bros and sisters are all far from home..Sqad that is good to know...I asked about secondaries and he said there was nothing to suggest that ..but he was no expert ..still it gives me a wee bit of hope...
So sorry to hear that Murray, hugs and best wishes to your dad, you and your family. We will all be thinking about you xxx
Sorry to hear of this news Murray xx
Just remember to take some time for yourself so you can carry on being strong for your Mum.
Thinking of you all xxx
Sorry hear too, murraymints. You must make some time for yourself and make sure you eat as well, as you need your strength. There will be plenty of nags on here, without me to do that.

Try and keep objective, as you have been, and as you have said, it's Friday which is the D day - work on Sqad's info as to your Mum, conditional of course as it should framed so as not to over-build expectations at this time (one way or the other).

You are in my thoughts.
Difficult times and always tough having to be the strong one, ask as many questions as you need when you see the experts. Thinking of you. xxx
Thinking of you and the family Murray.....Love Gx
keep going minty, thinking of you, x
Sorry to hear this about your dad, minty. Thinking of you. x
Now that the diagnoses has been made treatment should start promptly. I do hope your chat with the experts goes well. I find that when I see my consultant it is useful to take a written list of any questions I have.
