But we don't really do "moderation" here. The whole Lib Dem ethos is slightly anathema (can something be "slightly" anathema, I wonder?).

I preferred the Libs when they were a colourful bunch, sleeping with oddballs like Norman Scott, trying to explain how the dog got shot, featuring man mountains like Cyril Smith, and advertising dog food (hang on, is there a bit of a "dog" theme to the Libs??
