... every time I start a New Year exercise regime, I come down with a bug or virus of some sort?

Have only just got back to the torture chamber (gym) after 3 months off with a sprained ankle, went swimming this morning and now I'm snivelling & sneezing & snotting with a cold. Lemsip awaits. Does it mix well with gin?

Naw that's a whisky job...........
No. There's a lot of it about (colds, that is, not gin)
Forget the Lemsip stick to the gin or old remedy of whisky boiling water and sugar. Never fails to sweat it out.

Whisky has always made me sick whenever I've had it. Mind you, it's usually been on top of lots of spirits or wine beforehand.

I think I need a good old fashioned bed bath. And a rub-down with Vic.
I don't or even like the smell of whisky but when needs must it does the trick.
having fallen by the wayside of illness since before christmas, even a sniff of alcohol would have me reaching for the sick bowl, so today's aberration was probably a one off.

Don't you just hate it when you succumb to an abberation. Unfortunately I do it often :-(
Who's Vic, send him round!
Yes I was going to ask who Vic was too.....but I'll focus on the Gin..

Emptiness! That's what's within
The bottle once brimming with gin
Before (whoops) Salla drank it.
Now she's under a blanket
Attempting to sleep off her sin
Poor Tilly! xxx I'll be round to do the bedbath and rub down shortly. ;o}
I think it's someone's way of telling you that going to the gym is a s*** idea. ;)
A good rub of Vick and then a whiskey x
