My stomach is turning already and the sheer thought of it....
I must be one of many who get into a state about such a visit :(

I think most of the nerves are knowing you have to go and the waiting in the waiting room, once your in the chair its probably not that bad
I hate needles but have to go every so often to get blood taken .I just make light of it now by saying things like I will leave the arm as Im leaving the room now The nurse knows I dont like it and say well there wold be something wrong with you if you did .Just the same for you nobody likes the dentist most have a fear .Promise your self a treat when when you leave the dentists that may help you take you mind of it .
One word of advice - do not watch marathon man before you go!!

'Is it safe'

Cazzz, it's a fear of ginormous proportions that I cannot overcome yet knowing I don't want to wear dentures, I know I have to go..ohhhhh!!
Come on Bobbi, where's that Geordie Grit. If you do need anything done it'll just be a little prick and we've all had one of those at sometime. Can't believe I've just typed that.
Have you thought about trying some Bachs Rescue Remedy? Just a few drops in some water - got my husband through his first flight
trade off Bobbi - dentures or dentist - gotta be worth it!

Go with BOO....she loves the dentist.
Nothing like an oral.

I see you arrived safely the sqad..
I don't know of anyone who loves the Dentist...come on..:-)
I am dithering about making an appointment I have chipped part of a back tooth and it is vaguely achey when I eat atm. I've put it off now for nearly a year. It is on my bucket list.
I rank them on the sharpness of the needle - the last dentist was brilliant and I didn't even feel his needle (no dirty minds pls), even in the roof of the mouth. He could remove all my teeth etc under these conditions......
Bobbi...just got back and she wasn't pleased to seem me.:-(

She has had toothache all the weekend.

I agree, nobody likes the dentist, but BOO made such a song and dance, a thread going on and on, the "boys" of AB (need i name them?) fuelled the situation by saying that she had a "phobia".....I ask you........a phobia.

She lapped that up and wallowed on the concern....LOL

No, you are correct....nobody likes the dentists.
Question Author
awww sqad I know how she feels tbh, phobias are not to be laughed at, one can not easily overcome them like that
Question Author
I might have to sit up all night...no sleep in me, I am just sooo worried...
Ah Bobbi - bless you, I'm the same - but last time when the dentist said "Hello how are you?" I actually said "I know its silly but I'm EXTREMELY nervous" She was so nice to me after that, At my previous visit she had been quite surly and most unfriendly so I'm glad I told her, she was so caring all the time she was treating me and praised me when she had finished! I just sat there and tried to think nice thoughts - such as lying on a sun drenched beach listening to the sea!
