I frequently wake up during the night with a crampy pain in my upper outer right thigh. This only happens if i am sleeping on my right side. I never get the pain during the day time. Its very uncomfortable but not bad enough to get up and take pain relief. Any ideas if this is normal? incidently i sometimes wake with a crampy pain in my right upper arm too!!!

This sounds like cramp and the remedies have been given in a previous thread.

No big deal, but I would see your GP re. a blood test to evaluate your thyroid status as cramps may well be the presenting symptoms of an underactive thyroid gland.
I get cramp as nights chill. Time for electric blanket to sort it out or a hot OH :)
