I'm looking for a new hair styler . My old Nicky Clarke has given up .
Well ,let's say it went ..bang ,and I jumped abut a lot :)
What I want is a hot brush type thing ..not a straightener ..just one of those ones that give your hair a bit of bounce . Like a blow dry brush but electric .
Any recommendations......thank you .

Morning all, sunny here. Nothing much planned for today, I think (hope) the Mr N and I are trying out an American Diner today for lunch. I always wanted to open a diner here on the SE - Ibiza road, with the bullet style van and girls in fro fro dresses dancing about serving, and no alcohol, but couldn't afford it :0(
Hija moves into a hostal today!
Morning all, sunny here. Nothing much planned for today, I think (hope) the Mr N and I are trying out an American Diner today for lunch. My nightmare wasn't gory or anything , it was to do with the family, made me quite nervous for a while!
Jno we do not have any trains of any sort here on the island, there was one years ago working on the salt flats but that's gone. When hija was about 4 we were in England and she had a health check up and they gave her some blocks and told her to builkd a train, she was clueless so I had to explain! We did make a special effort and took her on the train from Sutton to West sutton (one stop) and she was delighted!

Morning from a horrible damp and drizzly and cold North Norfolk. I wish I was Woofie's tortoise!!!
I have nightmares most nights and they are mostly all anxiety ones, some are bad dreams rather than nightmares. Then from time to time I have the horror ones too which are just appalling. I usually end up as a vampire or something equally as dreadful. I wish, in a way, that I could remember them properly and write them down and make film scripts!!
Fortunately, we don't see fireworks here at all, a few bangs in the far distance. None of us in our tiny locality have any young children these days, but even when we did, it's not the sort of place that children are out on the streets. One of the probably few benefits of living so rurally. No trick or treats either!!!
Son and his Mrs went to an organised village display last night though some miles away.
I do feel sorry for you poor Woofie. One firework night I took Meggie for a walk around F., forgetting it was firework night. She took no notice of the bangs whatsoever and even stood and watched the fireworks in the sky!!
I must get going, but I haven't got a clue what I am going to get going on!!

Mac and Charlie were fascinated by fireworks too...in fact Mac used to jump up and put his head under the curtain to watch them through the window, he was so funny. Charlie's cabriole legs were too short :)

Horrible dull wet day here .
I've been lumbered with train sets for years .I should never have bought them Brio in the first place ! Mind you Mr S has always been a train fanatic .I think he's got timetables from the year dot somewhere .
Nothing doing here really.
Just ordinary cornish pasties Robinia .Meat ,spuds ,swede ,onion .I'll be making some more next year :) I only do these things on request ..I must be mad .

We have a brio set in the loft Shaney!! Master LL's obsession was always with cars from when he first was able to propel himself across the room in a combat crawl. He is still the same. How anyone can be so fascinated with car engines, etc. and fiddle about in a cold garage all day is beyond me!! To be a car is a car is a car and a means of getting from A to B!!
(At present he only has 4 of the damn things and a Trailer, which is with us!!)

I've been going, albeit slowly, I can't sit still for long with this weird sensation...for weeks there's been a dead moth spinning round in a cobweb up in the corner of the kitchen so I decided it was time to do a bit of spring cleaning...no, not prematurely, very belatedly. I was jollied along by some loud Beatles (it's cat Stevens now)...all this on a Sunday, the neighbours must be on their knees praying for my soul.
My two have never been obsessed with cars but they pretty much know what to do if they break down. With Tarquin it's bicycles, especially since he turned into Iron man... his outhouse looked like halfords.
I can't remember the last time I made pastry, the last lot I put aside to rest passed away. :)

Oh, I forgot about the bicycles Robinia. They take the pride of place in the garage, all over the place and hanging from the ceiling as well. There is always one in the course of being rehashed - and it involves taking in friends' bikes as well to work on. Probably Bicycles, guitars and cars in that order or thereabouts. Their lounge has been turned into a music studio.
Well, at least our offspring have hobbies and don't get bored - can't be bad when you look at some of the younger generation!!
