According to one news site that follows her work regularly, she usually announces a publish date 4-6 months before, so I think we still have to wait that long....

The half blood prince is definatley Hagrid. She said that sumthin small in COS would be huge in this book and I think it is wot hagrid was doing in knockturn alley. Also hagrid is a half blood, half giant.

I think the half blood prince is voldemort I think this because he's half blood and in CoS maybe the thing that is going to be huge is when voldemort says his father is a muggle.

well I think it will take a bit over half a year to get the book done.... I mean the 5. book took about 2 years..... but I hope it will come soon!!!!!!! I simly LOVE the harry potter books, j.k is simply the best writer ever!!!

To answer the question, I think it will be June 2006. This will allow time for the Fifth book to be in paperback, and the 3rd movie to come out on DVD.

I think that the Half-blood Prince is Godric Gryffindor. Just think about it.. he was truly introduced in the COS,Harry and his parents lived in 'Godric's Hollow', and that whole thing with his sword is like a ceremonial item used when dubbing royalty.

I think that the half blood prince might be Malfoy. I think this because he is always saying that he is pureblood and that he isn't mudblood. It would be just like Malfoy to be like a hyporcrite. He is mean, and he would love to rub it into Harry's face that he's a prince and not Harry. Also, we haven't heard of Malfoy's mother at all. His mother may be muggle. The Malfoy family might hate all muggle borns just to cover up the humiliation of being a half-blood family themselves.

Malfoy isn't the half blood prince because in the fifth book they talk about his mom bein related to the Black family and there all pure bloods..... i definetly think its Hagird it makes sense.

Just two FYI; Evans is a very popular last name and Rowling already said the prince will be neither Voldemort nor Harry. Although I can't see why Harry could even be it in the first place because he is a pure blood. His mother and father were both wizards. I do understand though that Lily was a muggle-born.
