Will there ever be a vampire in the harry potter series?

Well if JK keeps up her formulaic fantasy extractions, there is bound to be one eventually. Probably a magic ring, a sword in a stone, and magic wardrobe on their way too ;)

I think there already is a vampire in the Harry Potter series: Snape. He has his classes and his office in the dungeons where there is no sunlight. In PoA he took over Lupin's class and assigned a werewolf essay, so Lupin turned right back around and assigned the class a vampire essay. I know he goes outside sometimes, but think about it he is the potions master. I could be wrong but its just a theory.

That is true, but I don't know if J.K would do that. But it does make sense. Like in Order of the Phoenix, he never ate with them. That's something to think about....

Hey ya'll! I found another clue that might suggest that Snape is a vampire. In the GoF, after Crouch gets attacked Ron says that the only way Snape could beat Harry down to the grounds was if he could change into a bat.

thats really interesting, jk rowling is always saying that snape is her favourite character, maybe because of that secret, it would make a cool; twist in the end, and fudge mentions the "sort of staff dumbledore employs" so maybe he's not just talking about lupin?

sismitch~I think you've got a great theory goin' about snape.I think it would be awesome to have that twist at the end.I mean J.K. isn't known for just spelling things out~She has to give you clues and rap it all together in the end!The whole Vampire Snape thing would be just like J.K.~And I think she would do something like that!Great theory tho.Honestly myself until I read that didn't have a theory.:) O one more thing on the whole HBP(Half Bloode Prince) question by buttons~people if u really r HP fans then read the books and the stuff online about it~cause J.K said very clearly its not Voldimort or HP~I still say its gonna be a hard year for Malfoy (cuz I think he is the HBP) not being rude just stating the obvious! peace out ya'll!
