.....what was the most memorable thing from yesterday for you? Although I didn't see all of the coverage, I thought the procession from Westminster Hall to the abbey was really poignant and moving. The timing and precision were excellent. I thought Andrew looked like he was going to blub at the beginning. It was a fitting pageant for the queen and so well organised. Well done to all those responsible.

the lone piper playing and gradually walking away was very emotional x
My most memorable thing was getting my grass cut and digging up and replanting Lily of the Valley.
We were gobsmacked at the crowds lining the long walk at Windsor.
It struck me how sad some of the family members looked. We've lost a Queen but they've lost a mum, nan, great gran.

I was struck by how elegant the Princess of Wales looked.

And poor old Beatrice drew the short straw.
Seeing Emma, Muick and Sandy.
The whole thing was a magnificent spectacle.

Another memorable thing was the lowlife Scottish nationalist trying to outdo each other on twitter.

It's news now...are you going to delete it? (that to the useless mod that deleted the thread)

Couldn't agree more. The whole event was awesome.
The disrespectful posts here can justifiably be called examples of a truly classless society.
Indeed naomi - they ain't got no class! :-)
What disrespectful posts?
Everything really, but small touches like the pony she rode and her two corgis being brought out at Windsor and the way that the gardeners had moved the floral tributes and made the look like flower beds
LCG, Sophie drew the short straw. She was stuck in the car with her!
How charming, Roy, but I guess it says more about them than anyone rise.
*anyone else
I don't usually do a LOL, Naomi, but LOL !!
When I think back over yesterday my mind goes firstly to the pallbearers, give those boys a knighthood, and then to the Long Walk. What an amazing scene that was.
The service and committal at Windsor and the look on the King's worn out face was the thing that will stick in my mind for ever. That face is imprinted on my brain.
Oh, and the Corgies. No tears from me except when I saw the corgies!
The coffin was lead lined, a coffin inside a coffin, that’s why eight pallbearers not the traditional six.

I’m pleased it all went so smoothly even the public were quite impeccable and respectful.
The training and rehearsals the bearer party endured must have have seemed like an eternity - but it worked. I have never in my 74 years seen such a perfect "drill" carried out by those young men. Especially the 8 pall bearers - they were absolutely magnificent. They deserve recognition in some form but have no idea what. Exceptionally well done those men.
