morning, Wednesday, midweek already and the days are rolling by, I hope that you are all in good health and that your day is a pleasant one, do you have anything planned for today?
Good morning, Emmie.
The highlight of my day will be going to M&S to buy some ready meals.
Monday night saw three houses in my street burgled. Two were unoccupied but in the 3rd the people heard their back door being kicked in and sensibly got out the front and drove off in their car.
The police didn't catch the thieves.
My neighbours rushed to tell me the news but didn't have details of what was taken. Whatever is taken can usually be replaced but it's really peace of mind that you lose.
Talking about "peace", if i heard someone kicking in my back door, they'd find me facing them in my favorite rocking-chair listening to "Give Peace A Chance" by the Plastic Ono Band and have them staring down the barrels of my Remington 870 shotgun..."Hi, guys, the only things for free in here are made of lead.":)
i sat outside yesterday, it was warm and sunny, enough for me to get a little colour, something to combat the long winters we seem to have, pasty white isn't a good look
We have a "long Weekend" coming up, I know that you call them "Bank Holidays". The Monday closest to May 24th is called "Victoria Day" to commemorate her birthday. It's sort of the unofficial beginning of the beginning of the Summer season even though Summer starts in June.
The "Queens Jubilee", does that mark the anniversary of the date that she became Queen after the death of George VI, or the actual date when was was coronnated?
