Euros...

Do shops such as BHS and Debenhams, who show the price in both pounds and euros, accept euros in their UK stores????

yes ummmm, they have a button on the screen that converts.

It's just a pain the next day doing the cash when noones seperated the euro notes as they weigh wrong

Really -i've tried to use Euros and have been turned down -in shops who have the sterlinmg and Euro (cant remember now but im sure Matalan was one).
Take it its only notes they take ?
H has a stash -im off to find it lol !

We get loads of Scottish notes at work by the way, I think whole coaches of Scottish tourists descend on the town every Sunday!

When I worked at the record store we accepted Euros for about a week - then I think they just decided it was too much of a pain.

they bring allsorts, pink ones with like a crusador on it and blue ones, really we get dozens and dozens every week!

yes but what I mean is that there are several versions of a scottish £20 and £10 and £5 note! It;s not like in England where we just have the one design, they have several banks that issue notes up there! (I'm not stupid you know tut! )

used to be that a Scots £1 was worth 19 shillings and 6d south of the border...

No they must be worth the same as they do weigh the same, (unlike the euros) lol

Would I be better off changing them?
