I have received an email to say that an answer has been given to my question in People & places: "Where did Monty Don go to school?" When I click on the link I am told that the page is unobtainable. When I went to the Peopl & places page I couldn't find my original questin anywhere. Why is this, and when will I abe able to access it?

I have just done a search in People and Places and the question is still there, near the bottom of the first page. It's titled Monty Don.

Thanks for searching, but I've since put another question - the missing one which was entitled "Where did Monty Don go to school?" I realise that that question was also asked in the one which you found. Thanks for your help.

It would appear that the Editors have deleted the wrong question.  If I remember rightly, in your first post you asked two questions, one of which somebody answered.  There was no answer to your question "Where did Monty Don go to school", so you posted that question again but it was deleted because of duplication.

It would have been better if the first post had been deleted.

Perhaps you could close the first post (open the question then follow the instructions in the "Got an answer?" panel at the right.  Then post your "school" question again.
