(sky looks amazing, it wasn't that colour to my eyes!

Have you any swifts, swallows or house martins yet? they should be here anyday now, I'll put a post in A&N when they arrive, there are some lovely birdy people on here. I thought I'd spotted some this afternoon until I realised I'd got floaters in my eyes......

hi jno, thanks, it's such a shame it doesn't last longer. They've threatened us with thunderstorms later in the week, which will spoil it......

hope someone brought the kwells......

ooooh

Robinia I got a hundredweight of kwells for the Farewell Trollop's voyage, but neti scoffed the lot. Hope she's ok

evening Vinny - glad you've had a happy, smiley day....when I've had a day when everyone smiles I always check the mirror when I get in case I'd got spinach in me teeth....oh well, it would be a change from skirt in knickers. Actually they're not bad here, well the long term ones are ok but there's a newer couple over the road who've never spoken to anyone.....tut.

There was a thread in P&P recently & most were saying they didn't know their neighbours.....I didn't know whether to confess I know the people in about 20 nearby houses & lots more from roundabout the area....

nosy parker

I'll probably get thrown in the dungeon for laughing so much at this, tears rolled down my face, but I had to show you

this

it's myself I'm laughing at as much as anything....
(there had been another similar Q down the page as well)

morning slippersloppers, hope we're all ok. I woke with a headache which usually means the air pressure is rising....or that I've fallen out of bed again. Anyway, they've promised a lovely day so I'll be making the most of it....

Jude you might spot me at Birds, I'll be the one begging outside - I've got to pay me TV licence today :o(

jno I've burst into leaf this morning btw, it's so strange how one minute there's no sign & the next day there they are. A few people have said to me that their robinias were dead & I always tell them to wait....

Right, time to catch some sun, don't get carried away biddies....ne'er cast a clout.....

Vinny Have you lived in Devon all your life? You're so lucky if you have!

Hiya jude...been here for 26 years..I was born in Boscombe Bournemouth, but have lived all over the place,holland,eastbourne..maidstone..southend...plymouth.

seaton(devon)they call me the wanderer the wanderer..do da do da..but have never been to Derby..my mother was born in wallsend..and my dads family came from barrow-in-furness..they both ended up in childrens homes...and met in bournemouth...at the roxy cinema...and a few years later I appeared...(:)Have you always lived in Derby jude...?

Question Author

Yeh Vinny Born and bred. My great grandparents were both Irish from Waterford. I've got a real Derby accent and have been known to say duck sometimes! I've been all along the South coast but my favourite place is Devon. My very favourite place is a hill top in Hele Bay. I found it when I was on my own with my youngest son. It was just a grassy field with a swing and a see-saw. A special memory. I think the Devon coast is especially good. My eldest son lives near Seaton. I was in Bournemouth a few years ago when I went to Swanage for a holiday. I'm hoping to go to Devon this year for a few days.

neti crawls out of the hold - morning me biddies. Doctor was cross that I'd left it so long had to spend yesterday and today (but I'm not) in bed doing nothing so as to recupe my strength - can't do any food preparation in case I reinfect family (love that bit, hate cooking). Have been given belladona to take(!) hope the doctor likes me else I'm dead! Poor gessoo it's raining here yesterday and today so guess it's the same in Menorca.
another sunny day and 24 degrees in prospect here so this is the place to be. I can see the advertising campagn now: 'See Britain, it's like Ibiza only without the beaches and the live sex shows at the clubs and the rain and of course the food doesn't make you so sick, it just bores you to death'
Morning Biddys...lovely sunny warm day....Again...just spoke to a spanish student from next door...and she's amazed the grass on the Tors is so green..but not the case in spain...The rain in spain falls mainly on nettis house...hehe..!!only joking netti...glad your feeling better...(:)Hope everybodys okay...(:-)

morning all - lol jno, yes it's promising to very warm....well, for a few hours anyway. Yesterday was fine for me, fresh in the morning & comfortably warm pm. They were out showing their white bits - not me - well before it was warm enough though.....tut....

hi neti, take it easy. Doctors, you can't win....you go to them after a couple of bad days, they say it will settle down, you leave it & they get shirty....
I don't do staying in bed either....well Charlie can't reach the door handles so there's not much choice anyway & once I'm up I stay up.

I've had to put the gardeners on my emergency hotline list, the grass is growing as I look at it.....oh and the swifts arrived yesterday, hurray!

right where's me titfer? ah, I remember seeing Vinny with it.....I'll have it back now thanks

the small one's mine
