I swear I have just seen an osprey fly over my house!

East to west.

Rutland water sounds like a good truck-stop diner for an Osprey.

I've heard of some reported sightings around gravel pits and reservoirs in your region.

At the Sheffield falcon site an osprey was duffed up by the peregrines last year. A honey buzzard was also spotted flying over the site. It's amazing what is seen when people are there to see it. Btw, good spot:)

They didn't kill the osprey,Tilly. They just gave a bit of a kicking. The same treatment is given out to crows, magpies and buzzards.

I posted about it on my Dyfi thread below. I'd set a pair of peregrines on the brain dead cretins. Why do people do this sort of thing?
