Have any of you got into the habit of clicking on an unrecognised name to look at the questioner's profile before answering the question? I have - and so many times I find the culprit 'suspended'. Can't fault their persistency! :o)

Happy New Year everyone.

yes same here naomi, but i answer anyway lol
It's mental. Who could be seriously bothered to make up that many user names/email accounts...
Yes definitely, particularly tonight!
I must admit that I find the majority of them very entertaining, and it's a bit of a shame when they get suspended.
yes I am increasingly doing so, especially on those without avatars. Some of them do merit a facaetious response......
the penguin cooking one was fun
Happy new year to you too Naomi and all :o)

I must admit I don't look at profiles which is probably why I'm so gullible and get sucked it! Lol
That's the kind of thing I mean DT, and the hamster.
..and the badgers-for-pets - the wildlife theme was getting a bit of a giveaway though!

Yes, I find some of them entertaining too Craft - and there are one or two I was really very sorry to see go. :o(

Thanks Tigger. x
u r sad
I was caught so many times that I do now look at unfamiliar avatars and peculiar names. I was just beginning to believe in those exotic dishes when the penguins were mentioned and I realised I was just about to be caught again. It's a bit like the spider and the fly syndrome isn't it? Come into my parlour said the spider to the fly - ominous!
Unfortunately so have I naomi, especially if it a stupid question (as in the pet badger). I just don't bother replying then. It is sad but, as you say, they certainly are persistent.
Wooo Woo, Without an avatar, not fair some of us don't know how to get one..............................include self
Chaffinch, this is how to get one

I don't look at profiles, I only pop into ab every once in a while to have a nosey about. There are so many new 'faces' it would be a pointless exercise for me to look through profiles for the sake of answering a question.
Hello and happy New Year to you too, and everyone.

I must admit I've got taken many times. Hadn't thought about looking at profiles before posting. Hope I remember in the future. Thanks for the tip!
Yup, guilty after wasting time writing an answer only to find they are a troll and suspending before I even got to post.
PS Happy New Year Naomi xxx
It's a shame to see regulars on AB putting a lot of effort into a reply to help the OP when in fact the OP has already been suspended (presumably because they have been identified as a banned user).
Before I consider replying I now check the status of unfamiliar names if the content of the thread is controversial in any way or is of the "I like to spread yogurt on my genitals" variety.
Anyway, I wonder whether the AB should post a warning on such threads, pointing out that the OP has been suspended. That could save some of us wasting time giving advice.
