Did anyone see any family yesterday that they hardly ever get to meet?

My brother came from Cheshire and drove back last night to be able to see his daughter today . . . .

I only have Daddy and Mums.

I went to their house, and I'm still there.
how many Mums??
Question Author
i was thinking that . . . .
Just one.

How many does anyone have ?
I always referred to mine in the singular, on account of only having the one
Oh, I see.

"Mums" is what I call her, or sometimes "Momba".

If I had been referring to several mums, then it would have been a plural simple noun, and would not have had a capital letter.

"Mums" is what I call her ... hence, proper noun ... hence, capital letter.
Nobody else saw family ??
No ... phoned mine, audio only.

I didn't seem any family, my OH is ill so couldn't go to my sisters. Spoke to her on the phone though
"How many does anyone have ?"

Two.
Went to the inlaws last night and stayed there. Went to see my Grandad this morning. Will pop to see my Nan on the way for a few beers shortly :-)

Quite a few, stayed with my parents and saw my aunt, three uncles and three cousins and some other extended family. Also had a Skype link up with my brother and his wife who are in Canada. The night before I saw some "surrogate" family.
It's is (thankfully) more than five years since I last saw ANY of my family members.
Seen everybody over the last week. Two stepdaughters with their husbands and step grandson in Matlock. My daughter, three grandaughters, son-in-law and my son Christmas day in Southport. My parents and OH parents are dead so didn't manage to see them.
Last time I saw mine was at the crematorium and they were so sad.....
to add to DT - my uncle died yesterday. He was much loved, and hopefully knew that, but lived far away. What I'm saying is you always think there's time to see people, but that time inevitably runs out. Make the most of it while you can.
