Hi I'm new and am doing some homework and need some help from you.
How many Hamsters would it take to take out a Grizzly bear and before hamsters evolved do you think that hamsters hunted in packs?

This is serious!
My apologies, I couldnt begin to answer your question though - sorry...
They still hunt in packs in some rural parts of Wales ... at least I assume they do, I haven't seen a grizzly here in over 20 years.
Rats - I have no idea of the answer

Okay jd1984. naznomad do they really still hunt in packs? What do they hunt as i thought that they wasn't wild and were only bred in labs for us as pets.
We get a lot of new-born lambs here in the Spring with ovbious signs of Hamster attacks.
Farmer's can't shoot them because they're a protected species.

Yeah right!
Especially flying hamsters - they need to be protected.

Can we be serious guys as I have to hand this in tomorrow.
This is a strange thread - what are they teaching the kids in school these days!!
Surely hypothetical...?
Please find documentation that suggests an actual figure for number of hamsters that it would take to take down a grizzly, and I will be impressed!
Here's an answer - 1 hamster. As the grizzly was eating a hamster, it got stuck in its throat and choaked the grizzly to death!
and another.

One - the grizzly found that he had no toilet paper and caught a wild hamster. Unforunately the hamster got stuck up the grizzly's bum, resulting in a complete blockage and the demise of the bear.
So we're agreed ... whichever end results in the Grizzly's demise, it's just 1 Hamster.
... thus negating the need for them to hunt in packs.

I need to tell the local farmers.
