I have finally got my lurcher today!
She is a white and black whippet X (with what I don't know)-I fell in love with her straightaway.
She is a sweet and timid thing, and seems to have no interest in the cat-his food is of more interest. He has hissed a few times, but he seems to be tolerating this new intruder, and has not shied away from her.
If I ever get some good pictures-I will try to post one.

Nice one Pasta, congratulations on the new addition :-)

Hi boxy...her name is Sally...but so far she doesn't seem to have a clue...so I might change it.
It sounds like they will be fine together, Caspar would have made his feelings known if he felt that she was a threat to his macho-man territorial 'stuff' (stuff means that there is a more appropriate word - but my brain is too tired to think of it)>

Sally is a nice name - I hope that her first night in her new home go well. I hope that you will feel able to trust both of them enough to leave them home-alone for long periods.

Thanks wolf. I have a strong feeling all will be fine. Caspar is quite a feisty cat,he does not seem to be threatened.
I once brought a new puppy into the house with an adult cat, after about a week they were best mates. I think the dog thought the cat was her mother. Good luck I am sure they will be fine just let them get together in there own time
Aaah that's lovely pasta. I know you've been waiting a while. Glad she seems to get on with Caspar and hope she continues to settle in well. x
Fantastic news pasta. Hope you'll have a long and happy life together. x
My vet told me that introducing a dog to a household that already has a cat is much, much easier than introducing another cat.

It sounds like Sally knows her place - the cat is god and should be obeyed at all times. I would like a dog - Frankie is just a big kitten and would love someone to play with. Princess Merlin would kill it regardless of its size - she has HUGE paws and knows how to use them (and her teeth have seen some battles too).

***************************Good Luck to all three of you.************************

Awww...thanks... ;-))

she is sleeping now....and letting out little doggie yelps....
Looking forward to seeing a pic or two pasta! [:o)
congratulations on your new family member pasta. I hope you realise that you are in serious trouble, in a very short time you'll find your home doesn't belong to you any more as what Casper doesn't own belongs to Sally this will definately include things like your favorite chair and that place in the kitchen just where you want to stand. Thats not counting the fact that most of your time will be spent catering to their every need. Still we wouldn't be without them would we?

Congratulations pastafreak! Are you going to put any pics of the little princess for us to see?
Question Author
I will try to get some pics on....all that I've taken so far are of her sleeping...I need to get her to stand up...lazy doggie!

Wolf.....Caspar also has huge paws.......he is remarkably restrained!
Caspar sounds cute and pretty laid back.

Are they both still alive? Did Sally sleep okay?

I lost the nut with Frankie earlier - his twice a day inhaler treatments for his asthma are not appreciated by the patient. Catching him is problematic. He is skulking up stairs in an attempt to avoid me.
BOO's a Grandma and you have a new baby Pasta. A day for celebrating.

(She sound's sweet)

Lovely day on CB today. Quite uplifting!! All very pleasant and everybody is being nice to each other.
