I have this rspb book however I have found that it isn't very comprehensive re the number of birds it identifies.

I would like to buy another one but the selection is quite big so I thought I would ask if anyone on here has one that they could specifically recommend.
Thanks.

Hi, haven't got it myself but when I worked in a bookshop, this was our most popular
bird book.

I've got 2 books, and I think that they are quite good.
1. Birds. A guide to the birds of Britain and Europe. A little guide in colour. ISBN 0601079841. By Y. Letouzey and E. Leo. Hamlyn. 1965. reprinted 1973. I like this book because it's a quick reference without too much information. 40p.
2. Birds of Britain and Europe. Collins Nature Guides. By J. Nicolai, D. Singer, K. Wothe. ISBN0261674021. Harper Collins. 1994. This one is good for those who want more information about the birds that they have seen. £7.99.
