Sheila, great news about Frankie's report from the vet. I still think jumping on you and hubby should be a compulsory test for Frankie LOL
Love to you all Judith and SallyCat xxx

Hi Judith. Yes love, it was great news at last. I'm very relieved that things are going so well. I'm sure it won't be long before Frankie is practising jumping on us in the night. That was Swedeheart's suggestion which I'm sure Frankie will be trying as soon as he can. :-)

Frankie sends his love and some big purrs to SallyCat.
Off to bed now, so Night, Night, work tomorrow.
Much love xxxx Sheila.

Love to everyone Honey xx

Hi Honey, Yep! good isn't it. I think we'll be able to celebrate soon. Just a quick message, as mum is off to work, and dad is in charge today. He! He!, I'll give him the run around, while mum's not here to keep me in order. Love to your mum Brenda. I'm off now, be back this evening. Your friend, Frankie the Cheshire Cat.
Oh Frankie I knew you'd do well at the vet's. He seems a wise man, understanding how dependent a cat is on its jump. What you need now is a workout video to get you going with those abdominal exercises but don't overdo it. (No risk of a cat overdoing anything much is there;-)

Issy you're still such a beautiful cat - I hope you're not in any pain any more.

It's sad to think that our Frankie has inspired more love in these past few weeks than the sick person who shot him probably has in all his life. I don't wallow in that, I really think it's sad. But Schutz your threads have in many ways been a joy - it's good to know there are so many people out there who care deeply about animals and about each other too - I see no contradiction there. Please keep the updates coming! I shan't be here every day but I'll certainly drop by to make sure you're watching your workout video Frankie!

Much love/swedeheart=^.^=

Hello Swedeheart. Frankie the Cheshire Cat here. What a cute video. You know I was once that little, but I'm a big boy now. Promise I'll do my exercises. Loved your little cat picture, so I'm sending you a big miouw = ^ o ^ =
Much love, purrs, and cuddles from Frankie.

Swedeheart, I agree that the sick person who shot Frankie probably doesn't know what love is, and even worse doesn't care. Thank heavens for all the lovely people who do genuinely love animals, and people, in equal measure.
The response to my poor Frankie's predicament has been fantastic, and we are so grateful.

I will certainly keep the updates coming. Frankie sat on my knee to watch his exercise video, and he seemed really interested. That little kitten is so adorable, I wish I had a kitten again, maybe one day, but at the moment have my hands full with the three I have. I look forward to catching up with you when you have time to post. Much love. Schutz.
hi frankie ,lisa is our other indoor cat the feral cats are issys mum and brother and sister , we rescued her mum to live in our stables but before she got to know this was her home and i could tame her enough to get her spayed she escaped and i thought i would never see her again but 4 months later she returned with 3 kittens we managed to catch mum then spent all afternoon trying to catch these kittens in the neighbouring corn field issy was the last 1 to be caught and hung from my sons finger by her teeth, she was the wildest of all ,off they all went to the vets to be checked over he said they were 4 to 5 weeks old,we then managed to keep them shut in a stable till they all calmed down and they still live outside . issy when she was about 6 months old devoloped really bad eyes and nothing made them any better in the end the vet thought perhaps it was the dust in the hay and straw so we tried her living indoors , what fun as she was the the really wild 1 still, in the end she had to have an op on her eyes as it was her eyelashes turning in and rubbing on her eyes and she never returned back to the stables , her mum brother and sister are feed the same as the indoor cats , her brother somtimes will come in through the window and have a bit to eat but will not stay for many mins before hes off back up the yard.
swede no issy is not in pain anymore that is her favourite place to sit on the table outside and keep an eye on everything , we are down to just 5 cats now we did have 12 at 1 point Ruth xxx
Frankie seems so much better now really pleased for you all. Jack is so pleased he kept asking when Frankie would go outside and whether he would know not to go back to where the incident happened.

I explained about the fence but he said well cats can jump so high he'll get out if he wants. (Our Milly is an escape artist )

Hope he continues to improve and practise his jumping technique xx

Hi Ruth. What a hilarious time you must have had chasing those kittens around the cornfield. Did you manage to get the mum cat a bit more tame. I think is lovely that the feral cats have got a proper home in the stables, and the freedom of the yard, where they are safe and know where their next meal is coming from Are they still as wild or have they calmed down a bit. Years ago I had a very handsome black feral tomcat, Fury was his name, and fury his nature. It took a long time but he did become tame in the end, but was still very much his own cat. What colour is Lisa's coat? Poor Issy she has been through the mill, I can sympathise with her sore eyes, it's so painful, and good that the op sorted it out. I have just 3 eyelashes on my left lower eyelid which turn in, the rest are ok, but now and again I have to go to the optician who plucks them out, but after a while they grow again, and it's back to square one. Frankie sends big cuddles to Issy and Lisa, and a wary hello to the feral cats. Love Sheila xxxx

Hi Cathy. This is for tomorrow morning for Jack.
Good morning Jack, Little Frankie, and Milly. This is Big Frankie here, to say thank you very much for your prayers, I am feeling a lot better now, and enjoying my dinners.
My mum might let me out for a bit tomorrow afternoon if its not raining. I won't be able to escape, because the fence is too high for me to jump over, as my tummy is still a bit too sore. I was practising my jumping this morning. I managed to jump on to mum when she was in bed, and It gave her a fright because she was still asleep, and I woke her up. Mum has been to work today, so I have had Dad waiting on me hand and foot, but she's back now so I'll have to be good. Your mum told me that you are a good boy, is that true? I hope so. I try to be very good, but I do sometimes get into mischief.
Lots of love to you, Little Frankie, Milly, and not forgetting your mum. From Big Frankie the Cheshire Cat.

Hi Honey. Just popping in to wish you and your mum Brenda, sweet dreams. I'm off to bed soon to dream about chasing mice. Love from your friend Frankie the Cheshire Cat. xxx
hi schutz the first time i let issy out after she lost her leg i made sure it was raining as shes not keen on the rain so i knew she wouldnt be gone very long. the others cats up the yard i can stroke when i feed them but picking them up is a different matter i dont unless i really have to ,only when we go to the vets for the yearly check up and jabs i will try and get a pic of them in the morning when i feed ,lisa is black and white and is paralysed a bit on her back end as she was hit by a car when she was 3 vets wanted to put her to sleep as she had no use of her back end at all but i brought her home kept her in a puppy cage and slowly the feeling returned ,her brother bart was killed on the road last year ,i will try and post a pic of her for frankie xxx
Question Author
Hi Ruth. Lisa is lovely, to look at her she looks very well indeed, is she still a bit stiff on her back end. She certainly looks a happy cat. The outdoor cats are doing very well if they'll let you stroke them when you feed them. I had to smile when I read about not picking them up unless absolutely necessary, because we have Frankie's little friend from next door, (a tiny all black she cat named Berry), who visits every day, and has her midday feed here as her mum is out at work all day, and she will let me stroke her when I put the food in her dish, but no way will she let me pick her up. cont'd in Part 2.
Question Author
Part 2. I'd love to see a pic of the outdoor cats, if you can manage to get them to be still long enough to take their photo. I don't know if I'm getting a bit mixed up, but you have 5 cats at the moment. Issy, Lisa, Issy's mum, Issy's brother, and Issy's sister, that's 5. You also said that Bart, Issy's brother sadly was killed on the road last year, so where did he come from, as I thought Mum cat only brought back 3 kittens, but counting in Bart that would be 4 kittens. Just curious as you said Issy's brother sometimes comes indoors for a feed, so he's still ok. Frankie is still not showing any signs of wanting to go outside, but I suppose it' early days yet, (two weeks today since his operation). He's sleeping on Dads knee just now. Much love to Issy, Lisa, and the gang from Frankie and me. Not forgetting yourself. xxx Schutz.

Hi Ruth. thank you for the photos. They are all gorgeous, and haven't they got lovely coats. Frankie had a quiet few minutes sitting in the front garden this afternoon, sniffing at the violets, and watching the insects flying about. I left the front door open, and kept an eye on him. He seemed to be enjoying the sun, but then he heard a noise, like someone treading on a twig, and he dashed into the house as though the hounds of hell were after him. I do hope his confidence hasn't been shattered by what happened to him. He's in his basket asleep at the moment. Thanks again for the photos. Much love to Issy, Lisa, and the lovely outside cats. xxxx Sheila.
hi frankie did you get to go outside to play today
Hi Frankie, sorry to be so late and you may be in bed by now,but I have been a little hung -over all the celebrating and stuff for a very brave boy I know.

Hope you have had a good day and that you are now getting your head down and dreaming sweet dreams.

You asked what colour am I --well white and tan and black.

I have gorgeous brown eyes and am a bit of a tinker at times.

I am a tad on the chubby side , but as fit as as a flea.

I eat anything and love curry when my Mum makes it.

That is really enough about me , so love to you and Mum and Dad .

Will n ot be able to keep in touch for the next few days , we have friends coming to stay , and will not get a look in on the computer, so see you about Tuesday, keep doing well

Love Honey x

Hello, Frankie here Mum left you a message, the one before yours, you must have missed it. She mentioned what happened when I did venture out this afternoon. I wasnt feeling very brave when I heard the noise so went back in, where I felt safer in my bed. Had a good sleep, and feel better now. Love from Frankie.
