FAO All Frankie's supporters. I've left a message on the original thread. He's snoring away in his basket just now. Love to everyone. Schutz.

Hi Schutzengel

Hope Frankie got on well at the vets today.Sure he will soon be back to his usual self. Our dog is a springer spaniel he's called Sirus - I named him after the dog star- he was bred as a gun dog but he's frightened of loud noises so they didn't wanted to keep him- he was quite nervous when we got him but now he's much more relaxed. Little Frankie and Milly come to that sleep inbetween his legs or on top of him in the evening. They get on really well.

Jack asked me to ask you if Frankie's fur has grown back anymore. We have another son Ben but he is just 20 months so he's too young to paticipate in these conversations. He loves Frankie and always says Frankie poorly legs - kisses them and says better. Frankie just lies there purring. xx
Oh Big Frankie, was it today, I thought it was next Thursday! Sorry Frankie and Schutz. Did you see Ed?
Question Author
Hi Cathy. Pleased to say Ed the vet says Frankie is doing so well now that he won't need to see him again, apart from his usual visits for blood tests to check his epilepsy medication. So with a bit of luck life should soon get back to something more approaching normal. Wow!! you have two little boys, that's great. It's lovely the way little Ben loves Little Frankie. 22 months old, so Ben will be coming up to the terrible twos, you really must have your hands full with a 3yr old and a nearly 2yr old. You can tell Jack that Big Frankie's tummy is no longer pink, it looks white now as it's covered with fine white fluff, so it won't be long before he has proper fur again. I'm glad you have a springer spaniel, and what a good choice of name, is he liver & white, or black & white. I can just picture the dog and cats all in a heap. Where do you get your energy from, you must be very organised to cope with the children and animals. Love to everybody both human and animal. xxxx Schutz.

Hi Cathy, again. The reply above refers to your last message, but as I went back to check on Swedeheart's message, your message had disappeared, and yet it was there a couple of minutes ago. I wonder why? It's a mystery, Schutz.

Hello again Swedeheart. Frankie here reporting in. I saw Ed the vet today, and he said I was a very brave boy. I don't have to see Ed any more after my operation, only for my usual blood tests to check the levels of the medication for my epilepsy, and I don't really mind that as I am used to it now. Mum just has to keep an eye on me, for a lump appearing. in case the pellet they had to leave in tries to work it's way out. I think I'll soon be able to chase around with the two kittens next door, it's just the stairs which are a bit of a trial at the moment. Thank you for caring about me, you know us cats need all the love they can get. Lots of love from me and mum. Frankie.
It's us elusive Swedes you know, we do that;-) (...but yes my reply was post no. 201 and now it's suddenly on the page previous to this one.) So glad Frankie's doing so well. One wonders how much he remembers and if he's been having any nightmares. Meeting the neighbour kittens outdoors must be so therapeutic to him. What a journey this has been, I'll never forget Frankie or the many wonderful people who have posted on your threads, Schutz. When you do eventually get a camera you must post a piccy of Frankie all fluffy and healed:-))

(Oh hi Frankie, just saw your message for me!)
Hi Schutz

Wonderful news about Frankie - I'm really pleased. Expect the warmer weather will help his recovery and hopefully he will be back to normal before long. Do let us know if there is any news on the "meanies" as Jack calls them - I'd use something stronger but... Jack is nearly 4 - beginning of June - he's asked for a goat!!!! Hmmmh think will have to adopt one for him as can't quite see having one in the garden. Sirus is black and white. xxx
So so glad frankie doesnt have to go back to the vets apart from his well used to blood tests.. hi swedeheart if you read this, thank you for that you tube post, love the way the cat just lies down as if that was its intentions all along... hi schut, if you ever fancy coming over to join us on facebook please do, ruthann is there.. there is an answerbank appreciation group on there where ive posted my real name and user name so you would find some of us....

Hi Cathy. I'm so relieved that Frankie is doing so well, but unfortunately Tansy the tortie who is 22yrs old is not feeling too good today. Hope she'll pick up tomorrow, as she had a couple of off days about 2 months ago. So Sirius is black and white, lovely. Around where I live it's rare to see a black & white springer, they are almost all liver & white. About the goat, it might not be a bad idea, it certainly would cut down on mowing the grass. Have you got a Pet's Corner near you, where Jack could visit and see a real goat, and there are often baby kids that the children can stroke. Lots of love to Jack, Ben, Little Frankie, Milly, and Sirius, not forgetting yourself and hubby. xxxx Schutz.

Hello again Swedeheart. Mum and me certainly will never forget you either. Perhaps we'll see you on some other threads. I am enjoying being with the kittens again, Berry came round for her midday meal today, but she was trying to pinch mine as well. Oh! well, ladies first, I'm a proper gentleman cat. Mum said she's saving up again, so when she gets a camera, I'll make sure I'm the first on it. We have 'met' some lovely people on here, haven't we. Nearly time for my tea, so I'll say Miouw for now, from me and mum. xxxx Frankie the Cheshire Cat.

madaboutcats. Frankie is probably as relieved as I am that he now only has to see Ed the Vet for his regular checks. Wasn't Swedeheart's you tube post about the cat stalking just hilarious, it's almost as if the cat was saying "It wasn't me". Thanks for the invite, I'll have a look at facebook, so see if I can fathom out what it's all about. xxx Schutz..
Schutzengel - I expect Frankie is pleased to have his vet visits back to normal. He's been through a lot poor little thing. I hope Tansy picks up she's a grand old lady isn't she? Most of the springers here are brown and white too apart from the few that the game keeper has. It was visiting a farm centre that made Jack want a goat - we went with his nursery. I don't really know enough about goats to have one as a pet and unless I know all the pros and cons I don't think it would be fair. Might have to read up and persuade Jack if he still wants one next year he can have one- with any luck he might have forgotten - what a terrible mother I am!!! xx
I only really joined facebook so that sam could have his own profile on catbook, i now have some really good friends who i feel ive known for years, and ive just found a fellow mad about cats lady who has three beautiful cats, the thing i most enjoy about facebook is being able to share photos of my cats with my friends. Please think about joining facebook i would love to see you there..

Hello Cathy and Mary.
Sorry I didn't get back to you both last evening. Tansy is deteriorating quickly. I was up most of the night, watching over her, she slept most of the time, but breathing is shallow and her legs are weak when she stands. She didn't eat yesterday, only wanted water. Sleeping now, and no change. I'm just about to ring the vet. But I'm afraid it's going to have to be decision day. I'll get back to you later. Love Sheila.
So, so sorry to hear that, Sheila. I hope you get to talk to a good vet today and that Ed is there for you and Tansy if you decide that you have to go in. Will be thinking of you - again. I'm glad you have your husband - these decisions are hell to make on your own.

(Yes madboutcats wasn't that clip typical cat behaviour at its best :-)

Thanks Swedeheart. I spoke to the vets surgery, and Ed the Vet is on duty this afternoon. We have an appointment at 3.30pm. Ed has always looked after Tansy, and it's only right that he should be the one to see her off on her last journey. Im so sad. It just seems so unfair that this should happen just now, after all the trauma with Frankie. Just because it's the right thing to do for Tansy doesn't make it any easier. Tansy is 22 years, and 39 days old today, and has had a long and happy life. I was hoping she would slip away in her sleep, but it wasn't to be. Be back later. Much love. Sheila.
Question Author
Hi Swedeheart. R.I.P Tansy. Ed the Vet said after examining Tansy that she was not ill, not in any pain or distress, she was just weak and tired out with old age, and ready to sleep the big sleep. She went peacefully to sleep in my arms. I'm so sad and so is hubby. It's a big blow after all the worry over Frankie and thinking we might lose him, and now to lose Tansy. Life can be so hard sometimes. Thank you for your support, it's so much appreciated. Much love. Sheila.
R I P dear tansy.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx from samuel peeps.
Schutz sorry to hear about Tansy - it's so sad when you lose one of your family. I'm sure she is up in cat heaven chasing birds and thinking about the wonderful life she had with you. Thinking of you all. xx
