Too bloody many !! my neighbour has 16 of the articles!!
I agree with manofsteel, I'm lucky my neighbours have just moved and taken their 6 cats with them, much to my (and Maxs') delight. Hopefully the new people will be dog people
All I know is that at 5.00am this morning there were two too many in Scotland and those two were "starving".
Not nearly enough! I have 3. I would have more, but I am partial to persians and they need a lot of grooming. Next door have 5 moggies, all lovely cats, very friendly. They also have a dog who barks constantly and gets on my bloody nerves!
I agree that there are too many cats around, the amount of birds and other wildlife they dispatch every year runs into millions, if cat owners fed them on the heavy side it may give the wildlife a chance ...not there fault admittedly they are only doing what comes natural ....
I love cats, but I cannot argue with that. there is a down side to cats. But cats do not kill foxes, or go badger baiting, or even badger culling. hare coursing, stag hunting, pheasant and grouse shooting, etc. Man is responsible for that. And they are not doing it instinctively. they do it for FUN!!!! Wild life have more than cats to worry about!
I love cats too persianlady! I also prefer a purr or meow to hearing barking - it can drive you potty!!

Mind you Mum & Dad always had dogs which were quite well behaved & weren't allowed to bark unnecessarily.
2003 Feline population was approx. 9.2 million.

Thanks Noweia

Not a cat lover myself but wouldn't do them any harm.
I just object to the wildlife destruction (man, I agree doesn't help) but also the soiling of our garden and digging up plants - have seen a cat do it. Have tried all the cat deterrents seeing if an Ultra Sonic device works, no good if the cat is deaf I believe!

Thanks for all comments!
Yogasun.... the best cat deterrent is a cat. Preferably a feisty tom cat. The cat poo is good for the soil. Free fetiliser.
