Hi is have a female rabbit of 2 years old she is pulling out her fur from under her chin, if you know where i mean, recently she broke her hock and the vet put it down to stress and pain, the break has now healed nicely so she is no longer in pain but she is still pulling out the fur, why? Thankyou.

Hi - your rabbit will be pulling fur out of her dewlap - it is the big roll of fat under their chin that is usually bigger in females. They usually do this when they are pregnant or having a phantom pregnancy - what is she doing with the fur? is she placing it in a corner of her hutch to make a nest? Have never heard of rabbits pulling their fur out in pain - I have heard of them chewing legs etc where the site of pain is - but she would not be pulling it out of her dewlap if this was the case I don't think ; 0 )
