i always heard that the wasp is supposedly the only creature that if it got completely wiped out it would have no effect whatsoever on the earth, but my question is what effects would daddy long legs being wiped out do exactly? or little insignificant insects?
or is this statement completely false!?
many thanks.

I for one dont believe everything I hear and if the world was cleansed of them, I think there would be a lot of hungry birds and spiders around for starters.
I think if you wipe out any insect there will be a knock on effect, if you wipe out the wasp I would go bust for instance!!!

Here you are misjef, have a read of this, especially the last paragraph, sorry, but i'm a Wasp lover, the good they do cannot be overestimated.

Certain types of wasp are parasitic. One type parasitises Cassava bugs and has been shown if there are none of this type of wasp around the cassava bug breeds uncontrollably and any affected area will have all its cassava eaten. Cassava is the staple diet of certain countries so peolpe will starve.
Not sure about crane flies though. Thier young eat grass roots and the adults dont eat at all. Doesnt seem any point to them really.
If the human race got wiped out it would have a POSITIVE effect on the earth.
You first
I realise you could take that two ways; I meant 'after you'.
