any suggestions on preventing flies laying eggs on rabbits, hatching out, then starting to feed of the rabbit ,if not caught in time they will kill the rabbit

Clean your rabbit's bum on a daily basis. Don't let them get so overweight that thay can't clean themselves. Make sure they have plenty of veg in their diet to keep everything nice and solid.
Keep the cage meticulous and you shouldn't get the problem.
As doglady says, at this time of year you need to check your rabbit thoroughly daily for signs of flies or maggots!

And not letting your bunny get overweight and giving them plenty of fibre also help!

rabbit checked pm but next morning was badly infected with maggots,apparantly it only takes four hours for the.eggs to hatch. rabbit has been to vets and treated but was in a very poorly condition. could be due to bins only beeing emptied fortnightly, lots of bluebottle flies about.
