I asked Alexa that question and got the reply - the most famous man in the world at this time is Alan Titchmarsh.

I was a bit surprised, I had no idea

bob, I ask Alexa all sorts of things that pop in to my head. I was wondering if I know of the world's most famous man as my general knowledge is not good. I would have said Donald Trump or King Charles if it were somebody alive today but for all I know he's a footballer or a sheik.

Earlier I asked it what 'haute cuisine' translated to in English as somebody on Twitter said they had crossed 'haute cuisine' off a menu and written 'hot food' and I knew it didn't mean that.

My French pronunciation must be dreadful because over three tries I got told the meaning of 'whole cuisine', 'oat cuisine' and finally 'I don't know the answer to that'.

It is a device linked to your amazon account. You can ask it things like what is the time/weather etc. We mainly use ours as an intercom (ie I can drop in on Mr BM's study if I can't be bothered to walk upstairs) to ask him stuff, or to add things to the shopping list, and I use it in the evening to read my book to me while I am cooking.
