My Maxie has done it, perhaps, maybe, sometimes, maybe not a lot of times. LOL (keeping you guessing).

Tonight my house is like toast as in heat and so in the living room (oh yeah procrastinating) after a few hours toasting his hole - I opened the living room door so that he could cool down in the hall.

Next time I looked he disappeared. No not in the hall, not in living room not in dining room nor kitchen - no - he was upstairs in his wee bed - saying to himself - I wish that B would go to bed. Love him to bits. Wish he could talk and read this post LOL

Toasting his hole?????
LOL "toasting one's hole" is a Northern Irish expression. Used mainly around Belfast. It means lying by the fire until you get so hot your flesh begins to sizzle. A bit like "measling your shins" which means the same thing.
I love the sound of your little doggie.
Thank heavens for our pets giving us emotional support.
Yes Tora does this too. When I stay up later than usual ( watching Netflix probably) suddenly she trots off to her bed.
