...to worry about.... :-(

Baby hedgehog was late tonight so I was worried about him...usually arrives about nine but it was almost eleven....he has made it to the patio now instead of staying at the bottom of the garden...

He suddenly made a bee line for some trailing ivy on the patio and out popped a frog......he chased the frog around the patio so I had to do my assembly voice....

YOU NAUGHTY BOY!! LEAVE FROG ALONE......

This startled him and frog made it to the raised pond......happily.... :-)

My hedgies drink an awful lot of water so if you have them in your garden.....lots of bowls of water......x

I've said before, Margaret.....I've waited so long to have a hedgehog in this garden and now I have three.....just so nice to sit a watch them.....hope they stay off the road, though it's quiet around here..x
They are very noisy, especially when doing the mating ritual.
Question Author
Oh they are, LB...that was how I first knew they had arrived....late one night it was the noise and it could be nothing other than a hedgehog......my family really appreciated the late night excited texts!...... ;-)
Frogs taste bad (apparently) so I don't suppose he'd have done more than have a little nibble - but you have reminded me to fill up the water bowl.
Question Author
Hi, Sherr......he's not nibbling my frog! ;-) But he's welcome to the slugs and snails.......x
hi Gness, don't think it's my cat but something is drinking the bowl of water I've left out - probably the flipping mice :)
Question Author
I have my food and water in a hedgie feeding station now, Sherr....when I had them in the open with my wildlife camera to spot what was feeding and drinking I ended up with loads of pictures of cat's bums..x
"he's not nibbling my frog" ... is that like washing your gerbil?
Question Author
No it's not! I know you and your gerbil excuse....if you had a gerbil poor thing'd be bald by now....... ;-)

I can't decide whether the reference to "a spike" in this article is an intended or accidental pun.

YOU NAUGHTY BOY!! LEAVE FROG ALONE......

Those are the exact same words that the head bellowed at me when we had a French foreign exchange student at our school ( 1970 ) ;-)
Naughty boy! Lol....
