After my experience with a Royal Python 3 weeks ago, I read this on the BBC
News website with mounting alarm :::

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-33803305

"The street cleaner coaxed the constrictor snake into a box and took it back to his depot before calling the Scottish SPCA"

He did what ? If it had been me I wouldn't have stopped running until I got to Lands End ! Apparently yellow anacondas need experienced owners as they are temperamental and will bite.

Dear God ! ! !

Finding streetwise snakes in Edinburgh must be more common than we think, mikey!
Read this on BBC News app. Bravo and well done to the man who found him and didn't panic. Staff at SPCA have named the anaconda William and he's recovering.

The bloke is considerably braver than me, thats for sure !
I am not sure if I would be that brave. It doesn't sound if William (big Willy) has been snacking on the wildlife and cats.

Imagine mislaying a snake of that size.

Cold snakes are quite lethargic.

I think they may all be temperamental and liable to bite up there. According to recent owner surveys.
Are there still no snakes in Ireland?
Awww! Well the snake certainly can't claim to be 'Billy no mates'!
Just 1 !
Haha togo
1 is enough for his salvation!
yeah i think he deserves a medal ( society of herpetology or something )
to approach a snake that looks nothing like an adder

I did try to pick up an Egyptian something-or-the-other once
and was warned by the labourers how unwise it was ....
and yes I thought the snake was dead
but it wasnt ....

( a lot of jabbering about telling me how stupid doing that was )
I know nothing about snakes so went to find out more.

They can get very big and we shouldn't worry as they are not venomous - they will just squeeze you to death.

It was probably double the size but shrunk in the cold
