The weather has been dire here so I haven't done much because the dogs have needed so much attention and reassurance. The tortoises are sulking and banging about upstairs because they can't go out. I have decided that I am going to temporarily line the lower part of the walls with foam to stop the noise and stop them trashing the walls...normal life really
Poor tortoises wanting to go outside.
What a day I've had, up at 6 cooking breakfast for hija who was flying back to bcn. Then she told me that she had vomitted in her bed, yea God's it was bright orange, so had to boil wash with a touch of bleach, wash mattress protector and scrub mattress and the turn it and remake it, tidy her room. I met gbf and we went to aldi opening, it was bedlam. As he is disabled he was the only one in a long line of cars that could park in the last remaining disabled bay. We took one look inside and left. It was heaving, and the queues were hours long. Had a coffee and free donut in Ibiza right opposite a shoe shop so had to get a pair of boots to replave my worn out ones! Then I went to hospital for rehab consultation. Good I can do it in my village as I can not face the crowded bus ride. Got bus back and had to stand the whole way. It does annoy me when younger men and children don't give up their Seats. Even I do if someone needs it more!
Back hone it was pouring down so did the rest of washing and dried it and put it away. Used machine and drier 10 times. Then cleaned through house and made 2 curries, which have been eaten, all washed and put away. Just hung out Mr Ns work clothes under the patio as it's raining. I am bathed and in a clean bed. Ahhh peace!

not raining here but a bit chilly. My neck was still hurting so osteo pedalled round and gave me a total hammering, I am now aching from the middle up, but hopefully it will work. Probably just a nerve that got overactive but I have been waking every day with a headache, and I'd like that to stop asap.
Anyone who vomits in bed here can clean it up themselves. I hope orange fits in with the decor, neti.

Morning all
Bit dull out there today but at least I can now open the curtains and not be faced with planks of wood, poles and ladders.I expect the window cleaner will have a fit when he sees the muck on the windows .
Yuk Neti .Had your daughter been out on the razzle? I wonder why vomit always has orange bits in it .
Hope you're all ok and that your neck feels better now it's been pummelled Jno.

hi all...its been all go here. Rab has had a nasty stomach upset. Shughy had it mildly first and then poor Rab got it full force. There has been much laundry and carpet cleaning and I was awake for most of four nights in a row. Its all sorted now but we are very tired and the dogs are twitched and stressy.
well I think that the stomach upset was down to a new and improved (!) dog food recipe as no sooner were they better and back on their normal diet than it all kicked off again. Given that Shughy's stomach is so uncertain anyway, I have decided that the best thing to do is to home cook so I have got a new chest freezer (small one) coming tomorrow and a load of chicken.
one of those days.
am: Went to stately home, It was closed.
pm: Went to prune front garden, locked self out, by picking up car keys instead of house keys. Spent four hours pruning neighbour's wilderness garden (he isn't there), driving round empty streets and avoiding full ones, window shopping (no money on me, just a pair of secateurs), finally found OH had arrived home from a day at Bletchley Park. (Having lost the return ticket, bought a new one, then found it in a pocket after all.)
Lovely sunny day but we should have stayed in bed.
