Mrs MM hates flies with a vengeance. Over the years she has made me nearly as bad as she is. This afternoon I sprayed a fly in the bathroom. I closed the door and waited a good half hour before I went back to remove it, before Mrs MM saw it. It has totally disappeared. I picked up everything on the shelves, moved every thing on the floor, but no fly. Have I bought a wonder fly spray that dissolves them. I think not. I bet Mrs MM finds it. :-(

Oh dear mic - why is it only men who have trouble with their flies coming out of the bathroom? ;) x
LOL Ena!! Maybe it flew down the plughole.

LOL Ena. Did you have a good holiday? Were you at the air display yesterday? Terrible news.
I had a lovely week off thanks mic. Back to work last week and it was easier after a week's tlc ☺

Yesterday's event was tragic indeed. I was just leaving home as the crash happened and got caught up in some of the emergency services traffic. I know Throop extremely well. The pilot did well to avoid houses down by the river and all the walkers/spectators of the Air Festival. RIP
Mamya - I bet that ruddy big spider ate it up - amazing how mic missed that one ;)

Crikey Ena she dislikes spiders too. Though she doesn't kill them. Glass over them, postcard under them, then outside. If a spider ate a fly that had been sprayed would it harm them ? I clearly don't have enough to think about.
On behalf of the spiders and humans in your life, would you ditch the flyspray? Its lethal (it has to be to kill a fly)

Instead, you can get a plastic fly swat from the poundshop or use a good old fashioned rolled up newspaper. Works a treat.
Maidup - afraid I beg to differ. Big Sis tried the rolled-up paper approach at work - cracked the window pane, much to her dismay and to my sheer delight. Didn't know the old girl could carry such a wack, lol :)
mic - don't worry about it, not a lot on the goggle box tonight ;)

We have been visited by a plague of flies this weekend. I think I need to get the ladders out and clean the windows - there is too much evidence left of a long tennis match with the fly swats - new balls please ♥

Agree with ena on this maidup. A very expensive mirror knocked of the wall. I'm into year 5 of 7 years bad luck.
My flies need sorting out as well.
hmmmm - really, Moony?

At the risk of repeating myself:

Have a nice Sunday evening ♥
LOL - In the same way as you mustn't spray flyspray into someone's eyes, you mustn't whack glass or mirrors with a rolled up newspaper!
I prefer to open a window and waft them out, i cant understand the irrational fear of a fly, I can a wasp because they sting, but flies are more of a nuisence than a worry.
Being someone who loathes all creepy crawlies, I had to summon all my courage in the bathroom the other week and I very bravely stamped on and killed a large....piece of fluff.
Note to self: make appointment at Specsavers
lol @ Mrs O
cazzz, it's opening the window that lets the blighters in in the first place :-)
Fly spray is useless. Hair spray is much more effective - it sticks their wings together so that you can deal with them at your leisure.
I always try to let flies out of the lounge window, that way they whizz round the back of the house and come in again through the kitchen!
Instead of the spray what about getting a Pitcher plant or Venus fly-trap?
