eye drops for dog

Picked these up for the dog and of course when I got home just put some drops on tissue and rubbed them over this eyes. However on reading instructions carefully I am to pull his eyelids back and drop one or two drops. That is fine. On more reading it then says watch your own eyes that you do not get any of these drops. Would that mean these drops would not be good for him. Thanks for any replies

what are the eyedrops for and why are you using them? did they come from the vet? what are they called?
You put some drops on a tissue and rubbed that over his eyes????? OMG.

You must have a very tolerant dog.
mmm wildwood, especially if his eyes are sore!
