My 6yo springer has prob with this every morning for the last few weeks in both eyes. Never been a prob in the past that I can recall. I clean her eyes with a wet-wipe which seems to clear it for the rest of the day. Cannot seem to get doggy eye drops in the shops. I think EU regs only allow pet medicines to be sold by vets. I looked on the net and there are many causes, some quite serious.
I shall take her to the vet. I just wondered if any of your dogs have weepy eyes and does it clear up on it own eventually.

yes they had, no its didn’t.
What colour is the discharge?
Usually something easy to treat, but better go to the vet, and use sterile saline solution rather than wet wipes which might make things worse
